Original always better

Personally I’m not a fan of the new one – but here’s a really nice banner execution from Glue

A good blog is only a good blog…

In Uncategorized on February 3, 2008 by andymoore76

if you post… in my defence I’ve got a lot on at the moment. First of all I’m counting down the weeks until I relocate to the big smoke. I now realise that trying to find a good house share when you live 100 miles away is no mean feat.  Also i’m snowboarding for the first time in a few years in Les Houches and getting myself ready for the slopes with a bit of a refresh at the Snowdome in Tamworth. When I asked ‘this is a silly question but…. how where does the snow come from…’ I should have expected no less than this explanation from the instructor… ‘ they wait until it snows and open the roof’… is that really how they do it? (answers on a postcard) So what’s new? touch I succumbed not only to the rather large price-tag of the 16g touch, but also coughed up the £12.99 for the software upgrade. Reluctantly. Why do we have to pay for software upgrades at all… all the new stuff is on the iPhone anyway, so why wasn’t it shipped this way in the first place?Sadly as is the way with all Apple products… they get you. You don’t don’t need me to tell you that this product absolutely rocks on every level, especially as soon as you’re in a wifi zone. All the applications new and old all work in beautiful harmony… The interface is truly awesome, there’s absolutley no need for instructions, it just does what you want it to do. The true test will be how it behaves in The Cloud… I’m hoping for maps to start acting like a personal sat nav, Last.fm, BBC iPlayer all on the go. Let’s see.

Meeeeeeerry Christmas

In Uncategorized on December 20, 2007 by andymoore76

Time for the Freestyle Christmas card… using a bit of Papervision wizardry we have created a design, plant and print (eco friendly eh?!) Christmas tree. Check the pun… Treestyle Interactive. Those are the jokes folks.

Google’s new open source operating system for mobile phones. Perhaps this means that Apple may not be able to justify £269 for a phone in the future!?

Radiohead did a webcast and this is the track Bodysnatchers from the album that noone has paid for.

Aren’t they clever.

Here’s another… Reckoner

Oh and now they cover Ceremony by NewOrder… marvellous

Bunnies!!!!!!!

Ever since the very first balls came into shot over the brow of a San Francisco hill, I have (like most people) fallen completely in love with the execution of Colour. Like no other.. The latest Play Doh offering is up to the usual headscratchingly how the…?? standard, though to be fair I think neither paint nor this one have ever matched up to the balls.

I checked out Bravia online for the first time in a few months and was completely mesmarised. What I especially love about it is the way it follows the brief… exploring and celebrating colour in simple and emotional terms. The resulting interactive explorations really remind me of the early Anti-Rom work that first got me interested in interactive media.

Great use of Flash 3D.
